Australian Martial Arts Championships (Queensland)

Congratulations to the Team of 11 who brought back 15 Medals & Trophies for the academy. Special Mention goes to Daniel Vidakovic (7 yrs) who took both 1st and 2nd place trophies in Internal/External forms. David  Willoughby took out Freestyle Weaponry with his form taking home the Gold on top of another gold for individual forms.

Mitchell Williamson and Hayden McMahon both took out 1st place with their individual Hand form events.  We were really impressed with the AMAC tournament, the referees and organizers were very approachable and extremely helpful which was a breath of fresh air in the tournament scene.

We also made many friends on the day, hopefully school friendships that will last years to come. It is a fitting theme for one of our core philosophies “Martial Arts One Family” Thank you to all the students and supportive parents and I look forward to seeing you all at the next competitions.

Best Regards
Sifu

Cindy Mackenzie Charity Ball

Our team was invited to perform opening acts at the Cindy Mackenzie 'Hot Dice Shanghai Nights' Ball at the Hyatt Regency Coolum. It was a huge event with our team opening the night with a spectacular display of Lion Dance. Being such a great cause raising money for families with cancer sufferers the team was enthusiastic to take part.

The team then led the presesion with a traditional dragon dance. Our Gold Dragon made a great impact on the night. Traditional instruments rang through the venue while the dragon dancers weaved in and out in complex choreographed routines flawless in excecution showing that all the training had paid of.
